Corporate risk manager Lee Weathers travels to a remote location where she must decide if the project the scientists work on should be stopped or not.

The project is a human hybrid,grown in the lab,raised by the scientists there,who all love her as their own daughter.

Morgan is only five years old,but she looks like a teenager. She is kept in a sort of cell,and every once in a while she is shown the outside world. She stabs one of the scientists in the eye upon hearing they won't let her go out anymore. This decision belongs to the scientist she calls "mother" who says ,the worst thing you can do to someone you keep locked in a cage ,is to show them the outside world.

Morgan still has the mind of a child who rebels because her whole life she's been kept in a cell without having done anything wrong.

Upon hearing from the psychiatrist sent to evaluate her that he already made up his mind about her,and he is thinking about telling the ones in charge to never let her out,she k1lls him,and the scientists are told to terminate her.

Due to the fact most of them,if not all,care for her,most of them decide to leave and rescue Morgan. Unluckily for them,Morgan was put to sleep by them,and when they wake her up,she thinks they still want to k1ll her.

 

The movie was good,has a good plot,it has everything from the intelligent conversations to the day to day conversations and fight scenes. It felt to me like the movie managed to blend the drama with action,and it worked. The movie has moments of silence blend in with fighting scenes. And,has a plot twist or maybe a reveal at the end.

The actors were great,I loved how each and every one of them had well defined characters. Lee was like an introvert,Morgan was like a child who wanted her favorite toy..the psychiatrist sent to evaluate her had his own personality again..I loved how the actress who played Amy acted at the part when she had to be scared of her,she was literally shaking!

I liked the fighting scenes which felt real.

The visual effects were good.

I liked the soundtrack.

Although the movie was on the 2014 Black List of the best unproduced scripts, the movie itself received mixed reviews from critics, CinemaScore audiences giving it a C+ on an A+ to F scale.

The movie grossed 8.8 million dollars at the box office, against a budget of 8 million.

 

Morgan is on Max and Max on Amazon Prime Video Channels with subscription, and is for rent / sale on Amazon, AppleTv and Fandango at Home.
