20 years after a dragon layer was discovered by chance, the world is in ashes and the dragons reign supreme. The skies and the land belong to them now,as the remaining people hid underground. They turned the world to ash as they grow stronger in this environment,and they blackened the skies.

 

Quinn is in charge of one of the last human strongholds who seems to run out of food due to the ash covering the land and skies.

 

One day the last of the military team, an American one, comes to their stronghold asking for their help, assuring them they've been killing dragons and they have to kill the male which is one of its kind,in order to stop them and render them extinct .

 

The visuals are very good for 2002,the acting is good.

 

This was one of my favorite movies back in the day,when I was a Christian Bale fan,and this and Equilibrium were the only movies of his that I actually liked,and I watched many,including Terminator Salvation and the Batman ones.

Gerard Butler was also one of my favorites,but I actually liked his movies.

Izabella Scorupco,again,one of my favorites.

 

Fan fact: this was one of the movies I watched at the cinema on a rainy night with one of my friends who had tickets,and came back with a huge poster of the movie that I kept on my bedroom door for years until I redecorated.

I still have it in the closet,and want to frame and place on my country home bedroom wall,as I think it matches the colors of the furniture. Whenever I think of it I imagine my father's shocked reaction,to whom,even scented candles are a bit extreme. PS - the poster is the very same you see on my site.
