The movie is found under two titles, Siren or Forbidden Siren as it is known in the PAL region, and is based on the survival horror stealth game of the same names.

 

The movie starts on a stormy night,when a team of people are trying to rescue a man locked in his house,screaming about the siren.

Present day,Japan, a writer and his children go to a secluded island,where they have a program to heal his sick daughter. They meet the doctor,and while she runs after her little brother,the doctor and her father talk about how she looks better than expected.

The islanders give them weird looks for some unknown reason.

After they settle into the house,which belonged to the man screaming about the siren, the sick person changes,and it shifts to Hideo, the little brother.

They are told they can't leave the house when they hear the siren,as there are sirens around the island and they change people. Almost every night there's a storm,and the lead's father is found wounded one night,after which he starts acting weird,as if crazy,trying to k1ll her.

It is said,the ones who hear the siren's call,if they don't change (into zombies),they can live forever.

The lead finds the notebook of the sick man,and she starts seeing writings with inverted words like God and dog,live and evil.

 

Nothing is at it seems,but it's all revealed at the end. The twist at the end explains it all,and makes it more interesting,but it doesn't explain why the movie starts with mysterious disappearances throughout the centuries (like the Roanoke colony),or maybe they pin it on the condition.

Another thing which bothered me is ,the lead falls from very high,but she's fine,nothing's broken!

Also,when she's outside on the windy nights, we're seeing through the eyes of the sirens maybe,or the zombies which sound like men..but at the reveal,again,it doesn't make sense!

The movie felt like a B movie due to the cinematography. It looked old and made with little money.

The acting for the most part,was bad.

The visual effects were bad.

The soundtrack at times felt to me like it didn't match. They were playing a sort of serene music while a storm was taking place,and she was running from zombies with her little brother..
