Solaris is a remake of the 1972 Russian movie of the same name, which I watched, and is too long for its own good, pushing 3 hours!

A psychiatrist with a past which haunts him, is asked by one of his friends to come to a strange planet his space crew are orbiting for research. He tells him nobody wants to leave the place, although they have that option.

Once there, the last two space crew members tell him he will understand what they are going through once he falls asleep and it starts happening to him.

Once he falls asleep, he dreams about his wife, whom he still loves. When he wakes up, she is in the room with him,on the space ship. Scared, he puts her in a space shuttle and sends her into space.

The next night he dreams about their troubled marriage again, and another version of her appears,as if nothing ever happened.

It seems Solaris is a planet which brings people the people they love the most and lost.

Solaris is one of my favorite movies, everything merges perfectly, every scene is where it should be, the soundtrack flows with the visual. Solaris might be labeled a Sci Fi movie, but it's at its core, a love story. It's the love story of Kris Kelvin who, can not forget his suic!dal tendencies wife.

The actors are all great, from the ones with small parts, to the leads, George Clooney and Natascha McElhone.

The soundtrack is one of my favorites.

The visual effects are great.

Viewer discretion is advised,as the movie contains nudity.

Solaris is for rent / sale on Amazon, DirecTv, Google Play Movies, Vudu, YouTube.

Rating : It's so money !
