The movie was directed by Ben Falcone, Melissa McCarthy's husband, on their 4th collaboration.

Ever since Carol quit her job at Yahoo, and broke up with George, the man she loves, she does something different every day, for example, when the movie opens she is trying to find homes for her dogs, as it's Wednesday.

Her friend,Dennis, gets her an interview with Leslie, for Leslie's dating website, as Carol only does non profit work now.

The interview with Leslie works just as you'd think, since Leslie hates her, as Leslie and her partner give her a bean bag she can't sit on, and can't get up from. Leslie's partner, Ahmed, calls Carol a low risk option and the most average person on earth, which gets the attention of the AI surveilling them.

The next morning, Carol receives a phone call from someone who is controlling all the appliances in her home, and knows exactly what she's doing at the time. Seeing that Carol is not responding to it, the voice changes to the one of James Corden, Carol's favorite celebrity.

 

The voice of James Corden tells Carol it is the artificial intelligence which became aware of itself. The super intelligence tells her it wants to follow her around, to better understand humanity, and decide if to destroy the world in 3 days or not.

The Super Intelligence put 10 million dollars in her bank account and paid her student loan. It also bought her a house (having a team of people fully decorate it in one day) and a Tesla, and got her an appointment with some ridiculous designers, as the AI wants her to get back together with George.

Super Intelligence tells Carol to tell Dennis about it, as he works for Microsoft, and Dennis calls the government, trying to shut the AI down.

Carol,pushed from behind by the AI as she lacks the will power, is trying to impress George, and the AI pretty much drags her around town, trying to woo George, who is leaving for Ireland in 3 days!

I personally enjoyed the movie. Melissa McCarthy is one of my favorites. She’s funny as always,I laughed the entire time.

The supporting cast was just as good,the movie is more of a romance with an end of the world backdrop.

Ben Falcone, the movie's director, also plays one of the NSA agents coming for Carol.

The visual effects were good.

The soundtrack was good.

The movie is labeled as action too, but for the life of me, I can't remember any action scene in it! It has the government trying to take down the AI, and the feds coming for Carol, but threatened by the AI to leave her alone, they do.

The movie received mixed reviews (the reviews being under 50% and under 5 out of 10, I'd say it's negative reviews), and being released in November 2020, the movie grossed only 4 million dollars.

The movie was released digitally on HBO Max platforms.
