Lincoln Six Echo has the same dream every night, which starts as a beautiful dream, with his best friend, Jordan Two Delta, sailing on a boat, then turning into a nightmare.

He lives with a community in an isolated compound, after what they are told was an event which contaminated the whole world, with the exception of an island.

He is told what to eat, and is not allowed to eat anything else, and has to wear the same white clothes daily. Everyone has a wrist band with which they open and close their designated rooms and other places they are allowed into, and which holds all the information about them, including about their body, what substances they have in their system and what to eat to be in perfect health.

Every day a lottery is held (twice a day, I think), where certain people are chosen to go to the pathogen-free island, to repopulate the world. Some are bitter, because they've been there for many years, 7 in some cases, and were never selected. They don't know how lucky they are, while they think they are losers!

Although the ones working at the compound are making sure the people living there live their best life, with health exercises, good nutrition, swimming and tanning, they are not allowed to talk, especially men with women.

Lincoln is asked into doctor Merrick's office, and is asked about his interactions with Jordan, his dreams and what he thinks about the place, and apparently he has many questions. The doctor does some tests on him, by inserting some spider tech into his eye for a synaptic brain scan.

When he meets Jordan, he asks her if she's sick, because he saw her file on the doctor's desk. She tells him she isn't.

As they work in a lab and wondering what is it for, we see the world they are in, is a manufactured one, in which the ones in charge are creating clones, which are born like people in an artificial womb, already grown up. They lay them on a chair where they are downloading information (which looks like mind control brainwashing) until they are ready to be released into the community.

In the compound Lincoln lives, a pregnant woman enters labour, and is taken away, thinking she is going to the island.

While working on his daily tasks, Lincoln is given one of the guards' pass, and at night enters the areas of the compound he is not allowed in using it. He sees the pregnant woman is k1lled after she gives birth, and the man who won the lottery the day before, was cut opened, waking up on the operation table.

Jordan wins the lottery, and in the morning, Lincoln tells her there is no island, winning the lottery means they'll k1ll her.

Jordan believes Lincoln and follows him as he tries to get out of the compound.

The ones in charge lie Lincoln is contaminated so everyone would stay away from him.

Lincoln and Jordan manage to get outside the compound, above ground, in the desert.

He recognizes a name due to a matchbox he has from the employee he is friends with, and follows the road signs. They end up at a bar where the employee Lincoln is friends with works, who helps them. This doesn't end well for him though.

He tells them to go find their human counterparts, as they are clones, used for human harvesting when their owner gets sick and dying, to prolong their existence.

The owner of the compound, doctor Merrick, hires a team of assassins to bring them back, as Jordan is needed for a heart, brain, liver, and kidneys transplant in two days.

The two are hunted down by this team, as they try to survive and find their "owners" thinking they could persuade them to.. let them live?

I personally enjoyed the movie, it has beautiful colors, beautiful people, beautiful filming locations.

The action takes place in July 2019. Originally it was supposed to take place 100 years into the future.

The characters are likeable, Lincoln is a fully developed character with feelings, who questions everything, and learns along the way. He has a strong bond with Jordan which turns to love (if it wasn't already, as they are kept as children, they look mature, but they are really, Lincoln,3 years old, Jordan, 4), and she trusts him completely, following him everywhere.

The actors were good. Michael Clarke Duncan's role is small, for anyone wondering, as his name is in the credits, but he appears in two scenes, for probably less than 5 minutes .

The soundtrack, by Steve Jablonsky, was beautiful!

I liked the visual effects, prevalent in the opening scene and the futuristic city they created. They still stand the test of time.

The movie received mixed reviews, and grossed 162.9 million dollars at the box office, against a budget of 126 million.

Cinema Score audiences graded the movie a B.
