A young man with a dark past agrees to be a "shomer", the passing ritual in the Jewish community in which they have to guard the body and recite psalms to keep evil spirits away, for 5 hours of the night .

Problem is,the dead man was haunted by this entity which fed on his guilt and shame and now targets him as his next lifetime victim.

I liked the movie, the acting, the atmosphere..the old lady was my favorite,they said she had Alzheimer,but she seemed sane to me.

The Vigil is streaming on Hulu, and is for rent or sale on Amazon, Apple, Google, Vudu, YouTube.
