A fine art auctioneer gets tied up with the wrong kind of people due to his gamble problem. He offers to help them steal a painting,Witches in the Air ( which by the way,I hate).

He steals it, but in the altercation, his partner in crime hits him in the head, and he can't remember anything.

They resort to hypnotherapy, and this movie unravels.

I loved this movie about the mysteries of the human brain, about how one can lose their memories from a blow in the head or from hypnotism.

As the lead is trying to remember where he hid the painting, he falls for the hypnotherapist, and we soon realize they used to date, and she made him forget her because he was violent.

I just loved the movie, the music which matched perfectly.

The actors were amazing,James McAvoy was the best, I loved how he portrayed the lead, his action and reactions, the gambling addiction, the mad, obsessive love he felt for the female lead..it was just a joy to watch such display of craftsmenship.

Trance is streaming on DIRECTV, HBO Max, HBO Now, Max Go, Spectrum on Demand, and is for rent or buy on the usual platforms.
