Meghan Miles, a newscaster for local Los Angeles tv, who has a very clean image (and who's parents are very conservative-her mother thinks she's wearing revealing outfits when she has the first button of the shirt unbuttoned ), is rejected by a network news program,in favor of a woman with an Asian last name.

On top of that, her boyfriend left her, and took half of the things around the house with him.

Her friends come to her place to take her out, and as she doesn't go out often, and doesn't have skimpy outfits to wear, her friends decide she should wear one of their dresses,while that woman wears one of her pantsuits.

 

Meghan gets drunk at the club, and trying to find the toilet, ends up on a sort of fire escape platform / balcony,where her friend's shoe,that she's wearing, gets stuck. She is helped by Gordon, the bartender at the club, and a romance writer. He takes her to his place, where they drink some more.

Meghan wakes up in the middle of the night, and trying to find her belongings, gets scared of his cat, as cats hate her! She ends up outside his place, without a phone and money, and realizes her car got towed. Trying to go after the car, she ends up in the shady part of L.A., and gets mistaken for a prostitute, over and over again,first by the cab driver, then the cops, and so on, the only ones who help her being some g@ng members!

I personally enjoyed the movie, last night not as much as I used to, but I still laughed with tears at certain scenes.

The actors were good.

The soundtrack was fine.

The movie was a flop, as it grossed a little over 8 million dollars at the box office, against a budget of 15 million.

The movie is for rent / sale on Amazon Video, AppleTv, Cineplex, Fandango at Home, Fetch Tv .
