The movie is based on the 1946 book, 'Methinks the lady' by Guy Endore.

Ann Sutton was caught stealing and David Korvo helps her out of this situation.

Later,the man asks to see her,and Ann thinks he wants to blackmail her,so she writes him a check of 5000 dollars. The man acts offended,and tells her he is a hypnotist who can help her cure her kleptomania. Ann accepts to be his patient,but refuses to meet him in his apartment,so they meet at his hotel restaurant.

Pretty soon is obvious the man has dark intentions,and Ann would better stay away from him.

The movie had a good plot,is fast paced and doesn't lose time with things of no concern.

The actors were fine.

I hated the soundtrack,but I hate the soundtrack of all old movies,as I find it obnoxious and loud.

I liked the interior design, as I noticed I really like the way houses of the past were built and the way they were arranged.
